Community Grants and Partnerships
The Community Grants and Partnerships Committee seeks to provide funding to area 501(c)3 organizations who share our mission to empower and promote the status of women. Our goal is to partner with other organizations whose mission aligns well with ours and to select projects that have significant impact and will exemplify the objectives of Zonta. Community Service
Our club helps other organizations by providing hands-on help. Organizations we are supporting at this time include:

The St. Louis Diaper Bank
Our club volunteers quarterly to package diapers for diaper bank clients. Additional Zonta funds and individual club member
donations help support their mission to supply diapers and feminine hygiene products to those in need.

Monarch Jewelry/Crisis Aid International
Monarch Jewelry is a Christian Ministry of Crisis Aid International. Monarch’s mission is to increase awareness, raise funds, and encourage others to fight against sex trafficking. The Zonta Club of St. Louis collects old and/or broken jewelry which is redesigned into new jewelry pieces and accessories by Monarch artisans. Proceeds from Monarch Jewelry sales go to Crisis Aid’s St. Louis Refugee Home.

Cinderella Project – Foster and Adoption Coalition
Everyone deserves a “Cinderella” moment…. especially for Prom! St. Louis Zonta club members collect formal wear (dresses, gowns, shoes, accessories) which are donated to the Cinderella Project. This organization provides Prom attire to underserved girls in the St. Louis area.

Santa’s Helpers
Our club helps wrap presents annually for Santa’s Helpers. This organization is a volunteer-based non-profit serving the St. Louis area since 1968. Santa’s Helpers touches the lives of over 2,200 underserved and/or ill children and their families every holiday season by purchasing, wrapping and delivering gifts for Christmas and Hanukkah. Local schools and social service agencies work with Santa’s Helpers by providing names and addresses of deserving children.

Salvation Army
Our club has been ringing bells annually for the Salvation Army since 1952. Come join us ringing bells this holiday season! We have fun singing carols, trying to get passersby to join in…. and sometimes they do!

Kathy J. Weinman Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence
Our Club provides annual Holiday Gift Cards to women housed at the shelter. We have also participated in projects that help maintain a homelike atmosphere at the shelter. Painting and refinishing one of the lounges was one of our projects. We heard that it became a favored lounge for family time.

NICU Blankets Project
Our Club decided to put our knot-tying skills to the test. We purchased some fleece fabric and set to work tying blankets for St. Luke’s Hospital. The blankets served as incubator covers in the Special Care Nursery. Pediatric patients received a snuggly blanket on admission. The blankets were quite a hit and went home with the patient on discharge.

COMTREA’s A Safe Place
COMTREA’s A Safe Place Domestic Violence Shelter has a high-quality program that includes education, therapy/ counseling, shelter advocacy, court advocacy, and a referral network for women and their children. A Safe Place is the only domestic violence shelter serving women and children in Jefferson County.
