Offered Exclusively by the Zonta Club of St. Louis:
Women’s Another Chance

Award program for single mothers who are committed to the pursuit of post-high school education and/or training.

“The Zonta Club of St. Louis took a chance on me when no one else would. Thanks to their continuous support and guidance, I’m breaking generational barriers. I’m one step away from achieving a major educational milestone with Zonta’s support.”

Thank you for this opportunity… As someone with several disabilities, I often feel like I have to work twice as hard to achieve what those around me do. I experience numerous obstacles that I overcome each day due to my disabilities. However, opportunities such as this scholarship assist me in defeating my hardships. Instead of ruminating on my struggles, I am given the opportunity to better myself by receiving an education at my dream school, Washington University in St. Louis. This opportunity gives me the ability to define who I want to be rather than me being defined by my disabilities.

Sharon Carmody Award for Individuals with Disabilities

“I’m double majoring in Business Administration and Marketing while minoring in Spanish. I plan to pursue law school to become a corporate lawyer. I am so thankful for the honor of being the recipient of the Zonta Organization Jane M. Klausman Scholarship. This scholarship will help me reach my educational and career goals. Thank you again!”

“It often feels like there’s very little support out there for women in STEM, so I am incredibly lucky to receive this support from the Zonta Club of St. Louis.”

“I’m very grateful to be selected for this scholarship. It will help me reach my goals of becoming a physician and helping those around me. I plan to major in neuroscience and economics in college. I believe that these majors will provide me with the needed foundation to be successful in medical school and will also allow me to be an effective board member of a hospital or open my own practice to serve those in need of affordable healthcare.”

“Zonta’s global success in empowering women in aerospace stems from passion, dedication, and hard work. I am honored and privileged to be a part of it. Keep going Zonta!”
